We are seeking a young professional interested in joining our rowhouse in the beautiful Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC. Your 3 housemates are ages 23-24 and work in web development, progressive politics, and journalism. We are looking for someone who doesn’t need to be asked to put their dishes away or mop the floors once and a while, but who isn’t incredibly anal about cleanliness. We like a semi-quiet week night environment but often have friends over / go out to bars or shows on the weekends.
The room has a large closet, its own private bathroom, and its own private screened in porch. The rent is $990 a month, plus utilities, which should be between 50 and 100 a month. We know DC housing is expensive, but our house is gorgeous and worth every penny! The room can come furnished with a full sized bed, desk, and dresser for $1150 per month.
You will have to sign a lease and submit a security deposit equal to your monthly rent. It will start January 1.
The house is on a street with plenty of parking. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Columbia Heights metro stop and its new shopping plaza, which includes a Target, Giant Foods, Best Buy, and tons more.
